    Hi All

I’m just about to do final set-up on my new FCP 5 system. I’ve purchased Medea FCR2X drives and will be using an AJA IO box for input.

A buddy of mine is getting a new system later this month also with FCP 5 and either a Kona 2 or 3, depending on which Mac he ends up with.

Will I be able to use his digitized HD clips on my system? When he’s busy he’d like to digitize raw tapes through his Kona card, put the files on a/several firewire drives, and bring them to me to make rough cuts.

Will this process work? Can I use HD files even though I don’t have an HD capture card?

    Thanks!

    Tim

    SD files will be fine.

How will you play back HD files without and HD card, other than just on your FCP canvas?
