Kona or FCP losing TC in the middel of a clip?
I’m having trouble capturing clips because the capture will stop and search for nonexistent Time Code breaks in the middle of clips.
I thought it might be a problem with the BetaSP tapes that I was trying to capture, but it also happens when capturing from our DBeta.
Has anyone else seen this behavior and been able to find a fix.

Yes. I am using the Kona 10bit Uncompressed, Sony 29.97 VTR setting.
I am using the latest drivers from Aja and everything else is the latest versions as well.

Is any of this signal being routed through the SD connect?
Are you using the Kona 2 or the SD connect for machine control?
Does it just drop frames or stop capturing?

The video and audio are being converted to SDI through the SD Connect. The RS422 runs from the machine to the KONA through a DNF Controls RS422 Switcher. This set up worked fine until FCP 5.02 and AJA’s 1.1.2 Driver. The problem is also very intermittent. Last Thursday it happened on almost every clip. Today, I have only had this problem once.

I get weird duplicated clips in the new offline project that MedMan. creates. These may indicate the correct NEW CLIP duration in the browser column, but when either dup clip is batch captured it tries to capture the entire “ORIGINAL MASTER CLIP”
duration, which may be massive. These clips usually are source media for a “speed-modified” clip in the timeline.
Also when batch-capping the new offline HD clips, certain clips will abort with an error indicating TC breaks that are not present on the source tape. I think this may have to do with the speed of the disk you are capturing to. I get this error with my 4-way stripe but not my 6-way set, despite using the same dual channel scsi card.
