Kona LSe Waveform monitor in FCP distorted

When trying to set up color bars for digitising, this system’s waveform/vectorscope in FCP has a probem. It seems to scramble the last few bits in the video signal – See Pic of waveform/vectorscope – and jumps between levels.
After capture, the color bars are fine, which means it is only the waveform/vectorscope that does this weird scrambling thing which makes it impossible to accurately set up color bars.
This system is a quad G5 with 3GB RAM ana a Kona LSe card, FCP 5.1.4.
We have several other systems with Kona LS and LSe cards, even a LHe, and only this system has this problem.
Is it a hardware problem, or what should I try to re-install to fix this?
Thanks
