  Kona LSe capture problem

  I just installed the Kona Aja LSe card and its software. The control deck shows SDI in, and both SDI outs at 525i 29.97. The Analog out is also the same at Component SMPTE/EBU. However the Ref in Genlock is on video in but shows a “no video” also the Analog in is not connected.

  1) Do i need to connect Analog in from the VTR I/O video out to the breakout cable. I have a problem here the SDI cable is male on both ends and so is the breakout cable.

  2) I can control the deck through FCP, but when I log and capture, it gives me these messages.

  “device must be in VTR mode when device control is enabled”

  then,

  “searching for timecode break”

  Also the VTR makes weird repetative noises as if it was stuck or something.

  Please help
