I am in retirement & work occasionally HVX-200a,FCP7,Matrox Mini Max & edit with final delivery 720P to blu-ray with toast 9. My question is, will kona 3 or Kona LHi put out a better signal capture card than FCP does for better quailty? I understand 8 bit & 10 bit. Plus I have read about cross conversion HD/SD! But does Kona help in quality other than that example to the picture itself. If it does a better job (Kona) which one would be best with the mentioned software. The blu-ray disc look great, but the FCP falls short in quality after I run it through Compressor for DVD deliverly.

I looked up an article by Shane Ross that explained the benefits of the Kona 3 & understand the benefits better now! No need to reply! Thanks!
