It’s possible, but you will have to make your own easy setup.

Are you sure you son’t need psf? If so, just use the 25i preset then modify your captured clips in the browser to a field dominance of none. That will create a progressive workflow.

If you truly need 1080p, then setup your control panel like this:

Then setup the video out of FCP like this:

Then create a 1080 timeline in the codec of your choice and set the frame rate to 25 and a field dom of none.

I tried several time what you recomment but my picture on my monitor is
bad quality.(compare when i m in 1080i25 in FCP)

I discover something very surprising :

When i put 1080i25 in FCP my kona is like this :

I have the ” down convert symbol ”

But when i choose 1080p25 in FCP Kona is like this :

So the down convert symbol is gone ….
So maybe its why my picture quality is bad ….

The default format for 1080 is PsF (interlace) which AJA calls 25i because of EU labeling laws

If you are talking about TRUE P playback you need to re-install and select the P setups- they are rarely used outside of RGB workflows and not installed by default.

So you have HD footage and are monitoring SD via analog component, is that correct?

No, my video monitor it s JVC SD so he can only eat Interlace video
I just want to have the best monitoring of my EX3 XDcam footage 1080p25 pass by the kona to my JVC SD only ! ( so 625i i suppose)
At the end i want burn a DVD SD whith that.

Yes i have only SD and i have just analog composite for the moment.

Because the card can’t down convert from 1080p due to the truly progressive scan nature. The card must be in interlace mode (which is how psf is handled) to down convert 1080 material.

Putting your card in 1080i and setting the analog output to secondary is how you must do it. Then set the Analog Out to composite + y/c in the Control Panel.
