OK I’ve gone over all the threads and can’t fix this issue. I have a 40 min sequence and in playing thru the A/V sync gradually drifts. once stopped and restarted sync is back on at first then begins to drift again. I’ve done everything I can think of. Kona is in a 4x Lane, Trashed preferences, reinstalled drivers, reinstalled QT, The guy at AJA told me to zap the p-ram so I did that. Nothing is working. Any other suggestions. I have the exact same configuration on 3 other FCP systems and they are not having this issue.

[kurtis post] “Kona is in a 4x Lane,”

Does that mean you have the Expansion slot Utility set to option #2?

What kind of hard drive are you playing back from and what kind of media?

Have you tried unistalling the Kona drivers (using the Kona uninstall utility) and reinstalling? I once had a similar issue that this cured.

AJA requires setting the slot speed to 4x for proper performance. you can find this utility on the system/library/core services/drive slot utility
Option 2 is the proper config

I’m playing back from a dual 320 SCSI Rorke Data raid and it’s standard def DV/DVCPRO at 25% quality

Think of it like changing the oil in your car. You wouldn’t think of adding the new oil on top of the old oil, right?
