Kona LHe question
I’m looking for a card that I can use in my G5 quad running FCP5 that will allow me to capture both analog, SDI and HD-SDI. It appears that the Kona-LHe will do this and work in the quad G5(PCI express). We have a couple of HD jobs looming on the horizon this summer and I’d like to plan ahead a little. I will still need to capture standard def. SDI and analog component from Betacam SP.Can this card really do it all?
I have the quad G5, FCP5 and a Huge Systems 2Tb raid. I’m currently running an AJA-Io for SD production. It would be replaced by the Kona card and the Io reallocated to another FCP system. Any thoughts on this solution?
Looking for suggestions to avoid trouble later.

keep the AJA I/O, and get the Kona 3, not the LHe. With the I/O and the Kona 3, you will be able to UPCONVERT anything you own to HD. The LHe CANNOT upconvert to HD. Believe me, you will need this.
