kona downconvert options
3 weeks ago i ran some dvcpro50 dubs thru the kona card in the pass through mode to convert the tape from anamorphic to letterbox. I put the frame buffer in 1080i 29.97 mode and upconverted the the 525i 29.97 sdi deck output. Then i used the downconverted option to letterbox so i could make the window burn dubs. This was a very clever way to handle the anamorphic to letterbox conversion, if i do say so myself. However the client came back today wantng another set of dubs. I tried the same set-up and it doesn’t work. Can anyone confirm this? If i use color bars as the kona input the downconvertor framing options are fine, it seems to be the input passthrough mode that isn’t working.
