Kona Down Convert form 24 to 29.97

[Earle Nichol] “… If I have a 2k timeline my Kona 3 should be able to do a down convert to 29.97 so I can spit out dailies to DVD for the producers.
The shoot is RED 24fps, our timeline is 24fps… am I expecting something unrealistic?? “

if you are shooting 24.0 there is no realtime conversion.

if you shoot 23.98 there is no problem.

Thanks Gary..I thought I was reaching..the 23.98 worked great! We did a test of down converting in compressor, althought it was only a few test clips but it seemed to do the job.
