    Hello,

I have a question about the “color space” and “gamma” settings in the “codec options” tab in the Kona control panel. I am assuming that I should select the “Rec 601” and “Rec 601 (2.20)” settings for monitoring SD and the “Rec 709” and “Rec 709 (2.22)” settings for monitoring HD. If I’m correct, what would the “Linear (1.8)” gamma setting be used for? If I am incorrect can you please explain these settings for me?

Thank you very much for your time.

I am monitoring on a sony CRT broadcast monitor through the component out wile color correcting.

for output to non broadcast displays or when capturing in realtime direct to a compression device for Live streaming.
