We just installed a Kona card last Thursday. We have been working with it for the past couple of days no problem. We started digitizing a project early this evening and audio is not coming in right. When you playback the clip the audio is running at twice the speed of the video. Nothing on the computer or settings has been changed over the past 2 days. I have never seen anything like it. What are we missing…again, we just got the board on Thursday.

What format are you digitizing from and what easy setup are you using?

We need more info as to what you are doing exactly.

We are digitzing Beta SP. The input is set at Kona LH 525 29.97. The settings have not changed since we installed the board, the problem just started when we opened a new project.

Update…One of our friends who has the same system told us to shut down the computer and turn off the power so it has a cold start. We did that and the problem went away. I have never encountered anything like this. What would make the audio digitize improperly? Again, new to Kona.

I’ve seen this when 24p stuff was digitized at 60p (or 60i) and then played back in a 60 fps timeline.

That’s why using the easy setups are most important. Hit contol-q and make sure that your set up is as you want it. If you need to alter anything, it’s easiest to duplicate an aja provided set up.

Glad to hear things are going okay now. Sometimes, a memory scramble is in order.
