[Erik Lindahl] “Is there any way of getting FCP5 and a Kona LS under Tiger to output the animation codec?”

Download the Kona TV app we about at IBC it will playout Animation codec files directly from all aja products.

    Hi Erik-

There is a minor bug in KONA TV v1.1.1 with the Animation codec. The fix is to simply go to the “Display” menu, and pull down to RGBA output. KONA TV should then output RGBA Animation files correctly.

    Thank you,

Does it support h264 or non standard size moves yet?

Yeah, when I choose RGBA today it actually worked. It didn’t do it just after I had installed the card (might have been a bad Animation file?) I just got a bunch of garbage on the videomonitor then.

Is it possible to playback Animation-codec in FCP?

Also, eventhough I’m breaking-away from the subject, will we ever see output from DVDSP through the KONA (or is this up to Apple to fix)?

    Erik,

Yes, you can use Animation in FCP, you can even do an easy setup for it so you will not have to render. Doub’t that Kona can help see DVDSP on a monitor, that’s Apple’s problem.

    Have a wonderful day.

How about Animation with alpha or any other RGBA in Uncompressed 8-bit FCP timeline in RT?
