  • Kona and FCP settings for capture….

Posted by Adrian Zehn on February 27, 2007 at 1:15 am

I am trying to capture HDV footage at DVCProHD1080i using a Kona LH card. I am using a Sony HVR-M25U deck, using firewire for control and the component out connections.

I am not getting machine control or video signal into final cut pro or the Kona. Does anyone know what my settings on the kona card and in FCP need to be?

    Thanks in advance,

    AZ

Your deck needs to have the iLink selection to Downconvert for deck control.

You need to select the Component input on your LH to get the video signal. You do this on the AJA Control Panel.

After this I select the AJA Kona 3: DVCProHD 1080i 29.97 Easy Setup. Make sure that you change your machine control to Firewire.

Can I ask how you have you M25U deck hooked up? Are you connected via analog component?
