according to Grant Petty at NAB, they were willing to support AJA with the Resolve. But they would not write the drivers or anything like that, that would be up to AJA.

So as of right now, no Davinci is not supported by AJA and we have installed a BMD HD Extreme 3D card in one of our machines to test Resolve.

Thanks Walter. Well thats a bummer. I think if Aja was considering writing the drivers for DaVinci any time soon, they would have mentioned it at IBC. I sure would rather be purchasing a new Kona than Declink for my Davninci system.

From one Dutchess County boy / Newhouse alum / long-time Kona user named Walter to another, do you have an opinion on whether BMD’s up/down/cross-conversion is comparable with AJA’s?
