  Kona 3G Capturing 5.1 Surround from a Toslink

  I see that the Kona 3G can capture 24-bit AES, 8 channel audio.

  Can I use a convertor that will take Toslink from a consumer device and convert it over to AES/EBU (XLR), and retain the 5.1 channels of surround sound? The convertor is the ODL-312 Optical S/DIF (Toslink) to AES/EBU (XLR) Format Converter.
