Kona 3e does this also work with analog (beta sp)
I am looking to upgrade to HD, but I also so need beat sp in my mix, does the kona 3 allow beta sp or any analog.

No, the Kona 3 is all-digital.
Well, wait, that’s not entirely true…
It cannot CAPTURE analog signals. Not without a digital converter… which AJA happily makes and sells… Perhaps the AJA HD10AVA is what would work best for you here?
During PLAYBACK: It has “Video Monitor Out” Component BNCs that in the control panel you can adjust to be Analog SD signal out. There are also RCAs out for audio monitoring. That’s where the Kona 3’s analog capabilities end.

You could also buy the AJA Io, which happily works alongside the Kona for analog capture/output.
A bit more expensive than the converters, but more tidy and flexible. You could also pick up a used one on eBay or something.
