    Hey folks,

We are getting a strange issue on our downconverted signal from our Kona 3 and I was wondering if anyone has experienced this. Basically when we send out any downconverted signal, 25p to pal, 23.98 to ntsc or 29.97 to ntsc all 1080 the downconverted image tends to jump randomly at times and on the analog signal we get some strange rainbowing interferecne. It happens when sending out through both the sdi outputs as well as the analog component and composite out puts. Our system is:

    2.3ghz Quad
    FCP Studio 5.0.4
Kona 3 with K3 box and latest drivers
    Atto UL5D
    Huge U320RX 4 terrabytes
    Astro Tri-level sync

I’ve even tested it out by playing a quicktime through Kona TV and VTR Exchange and we still get the same issue. I’ve also bypassed the K3 box and just used the cable but no luck. Has anyone experienced this? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Jeremy Newmark

Figured it out. It was a sync issue.
