KONA 2 v2.0 not waking up
it’s gotta be me; however, when i put my G5 to sleep… it won’t wake-up. move a mouse, unplug & replug my wacom tablet and/or keyboard…nada. the computer seems to be comatose when put to sleep.
there were problems with this in earlier versions, but i thought it was taken care of in 1.1.1 — should bag 2.0 and go back to 1.1.1?
i have a G5 dual 2.5.
thoughts?

Hi Eric –
did you ever use an AVID system ? You DISABLE any power save or sleep capability. This applies to all non linear editing systems, and this has been the case forever. Turn off energy saver, turn off any sleep functions. Keep your system ON at all times, unless you go home, then power down. When you come in tomorrow morning, turn it back on. When you go out to lunch, keep the power ON YOUR SYSTEM. Summary – don’t sleep your system.Bob Zelin
