KONA 2 to Betacam SP
I’m having a hard time getting this to work right. Tried pluging things into every plug can’t figure it out. I’m not much on Analog Video, if anyone out has got this setup going could they let me know how they’ve got it setup? (ie where and how the refference video is going where)
I’m getting a glitchy signal (trying to go component in to the Beta sp) and for some wierd reason it seem like it might be out of sync.

Kona 2 (or K Box) Out Y, Pb, Pr to Beta In Y, B-Y, R-Y. You MUST go to your Kona Control Panel Analog tab, and select the DOWNCONVERT option.
If you don’t do this, you aint’ gonna get an SD signal going into your Beta VTR.Bob Zelin

When you go to edit to tape the K2 will automatically switch your Kona Control Panels reference signal. If you have your Beta and your K2 plugged into house sync, make sure that the Kona Control Panel is set to reference in. Otherwise the beta deck will give you a message like REF NOT STND. This is what I have to do to layback to SP. Your setup might be different and this may not work, but it is worth a try.
