November 28, 2006 at 10:07 pmIn my opinion it works really well if coming from an SD source.
If downconverting from HD, hmmmm it depends on the HD source,
for the most part is ok.Stuart Ferreyra

November 28, 2006 at 11:09 pmYES – absolutely. You go into the Kona Control panel, make sure you are downconverting to 525, and in the analog out tab, make sure it’s set for Beta component.

November 28, 2006 at 11:10 pmIn downconverting from HD – it doesn’t “mostly work” – it works 100% of the time, if you have a 59.94 HD sequence – even if you have 23.98, you can go into the audio/video settings under playback, and select a 29.97 output, and it will downconvert. This works for 1080i and 720p formats. It works 100% of the time – no excuses.

November 30, 2006 at 3:00 pmThanks. I was mostly concerned that since it says “monitor out” it wasn’t full quality or something.
