  • Kona 2 Analog audio input?

From the Kona2 Control Panel you get the drop down menu to select ANALOG for Audio Input.
My understanding when I went through the Kona2 user manual was that one can only import Imbedded audio from SDI (ch1-8 / ch9-16) and AES? Just downloaded the latest (so it seems) UM from AJA, but that says the same. Anyone out there knows what’s up with this?

The Kona control panel is a central panel for all of the Kona cards. the LH and LHe offer Analog Audio Input so that’s why you see that option, even though the K2 does NOT have analog input.

You can run analog audio through a Flying Cow A/D converter which is what I have or through a AJA Io LA which we also now have.

I do not see aalog as a choice in the INPUT TAB of the control panel, analog format menu.

I am running the 1.2 driver.

Are you sure this is the right driver. That makes sense for the LH but not the KONA.

Since we are recomending converters here is what I think is much more reasonable than the flying cow box.

Much better deal and more options.

Actually, as soon as AJA has their unit ready, I believe that’s going to be a very good low cost a/d converter.

What? Tell us more about this upcoming AJA unit… and how it will interface.

    Thanks,
