Activity Forums Panasonic Cameras knocking noise

    just got our shipment of p2’s yeah! however we discovered there is a knocking sound internally when shifting the camera. This noise happens when the camera is off or on in camera mode but not in vcr mode? Is this happening to anyone else? Should I be concerned?

    That’s the little Panasonic employee who operates the 24p projector inside. Try not to jostle him too much or he will mess with your footage.

    funny.
    so the little projector man from the dvx has his cousin in the hvx.

    what the heck is that making the noise?

    It’s the Image Stabilizer System that loose when it’s not powered up… Same as the DVX.
