February 19, 2025 at 10:46 pmHello Ken! Via AJA, I’ve been advised the following regarding your question:
Unfortunately there is not a direct way of transferring data between 2 PAK media drives on the KPU-12G.
The reason is only one slot with PAK media is active (mounted) at any one time.
There is however a indirect way to transfer media, here are the steps to transfer clips from PAK 1 to PAK 2:
- Use <SLOT> button to make sure PAK 1 is active (LED on PAK drive is active).
- Using the Web UI Menu:
- Go to Media -> Media State and set to DATA LAN (mode)
- Go to Playlist-> All Clips
- Checkbox all the clips to transfer
- Click on Download (located just above the list of recorded clips)
- Press <SLOT> button on UI or KPU-12G to dismount PAK 1
- Press <SLOT> button again to mount PAK 2
- Using the Web UI Menu:
- Go to Playlist-> All Clips
- Click on Upload (located just above the list of recorded clips).
- Browse and select downloaded clips from step 2 and click upload.
- This completes the transfer.
AJA also offers a PAK DOCK PRO: Enterprise Level Flash Memory SSD Recording Media
It can be used to transfer from PAK media externally onto the active PAK media drive of the KPU-12G while in LAN Mode.
Hope this helps!
