kiosk video resolution issue
We created touchscreen kiosk programs, graphics and video, that display on a 1280 x 1024 screen. The 720 x 480 videos of course do not use up much of that screen, and the client is not happy with the size at which they display. If stretched, the videos display unacceptable breakup and look posterized, particularly on moves or dissolves. We have tried several export protocols from the FCP timeline, including uncompressed, but not suprisingly, these don’t work. What, if anything, can be done to increase the resolution of the videos to make them play larger on the screen and still remain crisp? The videos were produced in DV.
Thanks from a compression novice.
