    Kinoflo Divalite 401 flickering problem in 50Hz country (not frame rate or shutter speed)

    Hi, I’m from the USA, on a shoot in Lebanon. My Diva lite is flickering, to the naked eye. II suspect it got manhandled on the plane flight over. Has this happened to anyone? . . . What would I replace, the ballast? Or is the entire thing done?

    I used it in five different buildings today and it seemed to flicker more and more as the day went on. Early morning interviews, barely perceptible. Usable interview. By my fourth interview in afternoon, stronger flicker; I had to use my backup lighting option, the Litepanel 1×1.

    Just to reiterate, it’s not the camera, frame rate, or shutter speed . . . it flickers to the naked eye.

    Thanks for any definitive answers . . . or even for an email to a Kinoflo repairs or support guy.

    Hi Steve,

    Let me ask a stupid question; is your Diva a “Universal” model? If not it will flicker in 50hz countries.
