  Ki Pro Ultra 12G BNC outputs

  I am planning to purchase an AJA <b style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”>Ki Pro Ultra 12G so I set out to acquire in-depth knowledge of its operating principle. In studying the user’s manual I fell on a passage (p. 16) which says :

  “IMPORTANT: During recording, an SDI BNC output signal is not a pass-through E-to-E
  signal of the input.”

  There are 4 BNC inputs and 4 BNC outputs, which tends to let one think that for each input there is a corresponding output. However this conclusion is apparently contradicted by the passage cited above.

  What would then be the actual function of the BNC outputs? Can anyone have a clue?
