  • Ki Pro Out Convert Frame Rate Question

Posted by Jamie Watt on June 26, 2013 at 4:24 pm

    First post…here goes.

I’d like to find out what the frame rate of ‘out converted’ video generated by the Ki Pro might be… have searched the forums without much success.

The options on the Ki Pro for ‘Out Convert’ are HD 1080, HD 720 and SD, but no mention is made of frame rate.

Does the frame rate of material stored on disk or that of the ‘incoming’ video have a bearing?

    Any help is appreciated.

Conversions are performed within a common Hz; in other words, you may cross convert from 720p 59.94 (59.94 Hz) to 1080i 29.97 (59.94 Hz), or down convert from 720p 59.94 or 1080i 29.97 to 525i 29.97, or up convert from 525i 29.97 to 720p 59.94 or 1080i 29.97. The same rules apply for 50 Hz signals.

If you have additional questions about conversions, feel free to contact AJA Technical Support via phone or email.
