KGCore pluging
Posted by Marc Lucas on April 12, 2011 at 9:45 amGetting crashes on FCP 6.0.6 I think its connect to the Black Magic Decklink studio card again. One warning crash message came up saying the crash occurred because of the KGCore plugin is that connected to Black Magic Studio card?

April 12, 2011 at 11:59 amUninstall and then reinstall the BM drivers. Drivers for all I/O devices become corrupt every so often for some reason.

April 12, 2011 at 12:04 pmSo the corrupt drivers can affect FCP prefs aswell? Because my auto save isn’t working and if I select a still frame to be 10sec it comes out as 20sec!
Thanks for your reply

April 12, 2011 at 4:40 pmThe answer is, yes!
When you have a kernel panic it can affect many things. When you reinstall the drivers for I/O device that also trashes prefs and cleans many of the installed codecs on your system as well.
Fixing permissions at the same time never hurts either.

April 14, 2011 at 11:49 amAfter a recent email with BM they advised me that firmware can’t become corrupt they say if it had become corrupt it would of been during the update it’s self and thus the card would not function.
