Anyone know a keystroke to select the Timeline window? This is killing me!

Also, on that note, is there a keystroke, once in the Effect Controls window to tab through the parameters of the effect? I’m trying to create a macro to save me some time…

    Thanks for your time,
    Ben

You can set your own keyboard shortcuts in recent versions of After Effects, by the way.

You can toggle between the comp panel and timeline panel with the \ key.

Once you’re in the effect controls panel and currently editing a property, you can tab between other keyboard-enterable effect parameters with the tab key. But, for things like color chips, you can’t tab to them.

Thank you for that, Michael. The \ tabs between the console and timeline but does not specifically select only the timeline.
So when I’m making a macro, there’s not a specific keystroke I know will always designate the timeline only, ya know?

And maybe it’s just this version, but I cannot tab through the parameters. Tab only brings up the FlowChart..
