Keysapn RS-422 Trouble…
I need to play out straight to a PVW2800 Betacam Deck, i have no capture cards so i am taking the signal out through firewire through a DSR 45 and then via component into the Beta deck. I need accurate timecode though, so i am using a keyspan USB adapter going to the RS422 port on the betacam…
I downloaded the latest drivers, installed, rebooted… Then in Audio/Video settings under device control i made a new setting for sony RS 422 and changed the port to the correct on… Now when i go into capture mode all it says is No Communication. I have tried different ports and a different usb port but to no avail…
Any suggestions?

Where did you get your cable to attach the Keyspan device? The pin configuration has to be correct. I had to have one custom-made, which works fine. Initially, though, I was pointed to a certain cable (by my local Apple dealer) which did *not* work.
