I’m running an Avid Adrenaline v2.6.4 on Windows XP on an HP 8200.

Frequently I will have shift/alt/control/or frame forward keys stick. No one (including Avid Tech support) has been able figure out why. I’ve tried different keyboards, taken the ps2 extender out of the loop, trash user settings, re-installed the application, and just recently did a clean install of the entire OS. The problem still exists.

Has anyone experieced this? Any useful feedback is much appreciated!

    Thanks!

    Chris

Have you tried remapping keys to those problem keys?

Might sound silly but when you said you have tried different keyboards and done a clean OS install it might be worth a try.

    Good luck

That’s worth a shot. I’ll try it and let you know if it works.

    Thanks,

Odd…what happens in other apps…say notepad? Those keys are held down, so I wonder if it is some kind of keyboard buffer problem as it may be lagging behind. You might experiment with adjusting the repeat rate value in keyboard settings in control panel.

The problem is not present in other apps. I’ve also tried adjusting the repeat rate…no change. Thanks for trying.
