    Hi guys,

Need help urgently…I’m struggling with keying out my green screen footage i shot a while back. I used keylight and it blurred my footage after i keyed out the green. I adjusted Screen Gain and Screen Matte > Clip Black but it didn’t help. I tried a colour key and the problem wasn’t there, however, it was very tedious eliminating the green. Creative Cows…!! anyone solve this problem??

    Thanks in advance

Are you interpreting the fields of the footage correctly ???

I have not seen this issue with Keylight. Have you added too much softness to the matte ???

what do you mean by interpreting my footage wrongly??

Here’s what I did, I digitised the footage from a DV camera to my pc using Adobe Premiere. They are windows media files. Perhaps my object has picked up some green spill from the screen. It is blurry and a slightly transparent. Any solutions?? I did not change any settings in Keylight besides “Screen Gain” & “Screen Matte > Clip Black”.

You might try capturing as DV/AVI files. Don’t know if it’s the Media Player codec that’s causing the blurring, but I know AVI can work well with Keylight…at least it did for me on Wednesday. It’s still DV footage, so don’t expect to pull a key as nice as you might with a higher res. format, but the results can still be pretty good.
