  • Keying problems with Decklink HD Extreme PCIe in PC based Character Generator

We manufacture Character Generators consisting of rack-mounted PCs with Duo Core Xeon processors / 2GB RAM running Windows XP and Cayman Graphics Power CG software. (www.caymangraphics.com) We have installed a Decklink HD Extreme PCIe board in the prototype and have experienced two problems:

    1. 720P HD Formats Missing from Decklink drop down menu:
Cayman Graphics Power CG software program supports 720P — but the Decklink’s drop down menu for changing hardware settings does not have any 720P settings — just 1080i. Isn’t 720P available for PCs with this card? If so, please suggest what may be wrong with our install.

    2. Bad Key in SD Modes unless Opacity slider control in Live Key in External Key Mode is shifted left from the default 255 rightmost position to 254:
SD Keys have artifacts (indiscriminate areas of translucent rectangles and missing pixels) unless we move the Opacity slider control in Live Key just to the left of the default 255 position. Just one shift to the left to 254 solves the problem — removes the artifacts and the key is correct. This does not happen for HD formats — just SD.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help resolve these issues or provide feedback.
