I’ve gotten keylight to pull a nice key on the greenscreen footage, adjusted my spill, matte choker and color corrected with SA Color Finesse. The problem in my test is that the actors black shirt it shimmering. Almost looks like snow throughout his whole black shirt. I’ve been trying various changes to my settings and can’t seem to get rid of it. I high light just the blue channel that there is a lot of noise.

I tried a channel blur of 4 on the blue channel and red channel, and it seems to soften it a bit, but the shimmering pixels on the black shirt are still there. Is it a deeper menu item I am missing or something simple I seem to be missing.

    Appreciate any help.

chroma sub-sampling. In keylight go to the screen mode and change to hard color and then make the replace color something closer to the original background color but mostly desaturated and grey. you should not have spill but hopefully get rid of the noise.

or you could have a totally differn’t problem….

Thanks for the tips. After further investigating, I do have different problems. I see the shimmer in the shirt in the original footage when I zoom in to 200%. It just seems to be more pronounced after keying. One question: did you mean Screen Matte when you referred to the color replacement?
