Keying in FX
I’m using FX 8 in PPro 2. I want to use a dissolve effect between 2 items with alpha channels on video track 2 and have that dissolve keyed over what is on video track 1. It looks correct in the FX window but when I go back to PPro it’s not keyed. After I apply the dissolve effect (blur dissolve in this case) what do I need to do in order to get this to key?

HI Michael,
It’s a little difficult to know what is going on with the problematic effect without having a copy of the effect settings that you are using in FX here to look at. The effect that you are describing should have worked – if it looked right in the BFX UI then it should have rendered correctly in P Pro.
Can you please send us an email at support@borisfx.com describing the problem and including a copy of the settings file so that we can work on this together? We would like to try to resolve the issue for you.
