Keyframing strangeness
Hi all,
I’ve been having a key framing problem lately where I set up 3 keyframes on a 3d layer moving in z space – one at 23400, one at 2720 and the last at 1837. Im using straight linear keyframes. Just before the final keyframe (between 2720 and 1837) the layer moves back and for a few frames and then forward to the final keyframe position. I know that there is something fundamental I am missing, because I have never understood why this has occured when it has and tried to find creative ways around it.
I’ve checked to make sure there are no hidden keyframes next to other ones and am stumped
Any ideas?Using After effects 6.5 and 7 on pc, Pal DV comp 1.42 pixel aspect ration.

go to Keyframe Interpolation and change under Spatial interpolation from Bezier to linear -
Make sure both your spatial and temporal interpolation are linear. They are separate properties in AE and making just one of them linear won’t work and result in the behavior you describe.

Thats it! Under keyframe interpolation temporal was linear and spatial was autobezier.
