  • Keyframing Shape Layer Shape transform rotation– issues: keyframes not auto-generated

I’m trying to keyframe a Shape Layer’s Shape‘s rotation(not the layer’s rotation). The stopwatch is ON.

The problem is, even though I’ve selected the shape’s Rotation channel, as soon as I click+drag with the Rotation tool, the channel + shape become unselected. The channel selection jumps from the “Polystar Path 1/Rotation” channel to “Polystar1”, above “Polystar Path 1”.

One can also use the regular Selection tool to rotate the shape (by hovering near a corner), but although the stopwatch is ON and the Shape rotates, a keyframe is not automatically generated. One can generate a keyframe manually, but that’s not the usual workflow, is it? (Same deal with Position.)

NOTE that this is for SHAPES only, not the layer as a whole, it works as usual. Are shape keyframes treated differently than layer keyframes?
