  • Keyframing produces “bumps”?

This never happens to me, but I have a huge 7000 pixel image that I am panning over (and pausing in between) and everytime I slowdown through the keyframes, there is a noticable “bump” as in it goes back timewise then continues. Through the AE7 graph, I tried to stabilize it, but it didn’t work. Somethings wrong with my AE prefs or is it just me?

    Thanks for the reply Dave,

Sorry I didn’t make it so clear in the first post, images come in within 10 frames then they just pan over a 25 frame area, then 10 more frames of the image moves to the right again, etc etc.

I notice bumps, in some of them. I fixed it by extending the distance between the in and out keyframes.

This didn’t happen with previous versions of AE where there was no graph…gotta get used it it.

    Thanks! 🙂

Na, I doubt it. Check Aharons videos on how to avoid the “boomerang” effect. Perhaps in your old AE, default interpolation was simply set to linear so it didn’t occur.
