Has anybody tried to keyframe volume levels on an audio clip (now that the Pen tool is gone)?
You will be sure to get your mouse exercised, as you have to go back and forth from timeline to effects window everytime you want to set a keyframe. It is so lame!

Same idiocracy applies to keyframing pan effects, and the “surround” tool, which now doesn’t let you adjust and set keyframes in real time. Totally unusable – I’ll stay with Soundtrack Pro for this.

Well didn’t they also “integrate” Color into the program? Except you cannot keyframe color effects.
And you cannot track motion and reposition applied masks. You can only apply unprecise linear keyframing. But who needs professional color grading anyway? We’ll just create some “magic color presets”, and of course we should be happy with the limited color adjustment tools that are provided?!!!

You can create keyframes directly on top of the waveforms in the timeline by option-clicking.

Hmmm – guess I was a little hasty in my assumptions. True you can set keyframes – not in the timeline, but in the collection of new effect layers, that totally clutter up your timeline view!

Can anyone answer if it is possible to keyframe Color Effects?

And what about animating the Surround Panner in real time?

I also want to know if I can keyframe basic color adjustments like contrast/saturation/brightness without using the Effects.
