I did a bunch of keyframing on the second half of a clip and now I want to trim off the first half of the clip. However, every time I try, the keyframes are now no longer placed where I originally had them – they don’t seem to want to move with the clip. What do I do?

First – everything on the timeline is an event – not a clip.
What are you trying to do, because you can’t “keyframe” an event (or clip), you keyframe effects, mostly.

If you mean … you added P/C keyframes to an event and you want to “trim” the front, then:

    a. find the “trim” point on the Vegas timeline
    b. select the event
    c. “s” (to split event)

The keyframes in the second event should be correctly adjusted to time[0] on that event’s P/C timeline.

I may be understanding your question a bit differently. Here’s my explanation.
