Keyframe Misery with the Ken Burns Effect
I’m trying to apply the Ken Burns effect to stills.
I can start the motion perfectly fine but when I try to apply either “Ease Out” or “Linear”, I get a Bezier curve that sends my picture all over the moon.
It’s driving me nuts trying to figure it out. I downloaded an old version of Pan and Zoom. It sucks.
I’ve tried everything. There’s a wacky method on here about adding and deleting keyframes….etc. I tried that. Nothing happened.
Anyone have any solid suggestions for how to deal with this?
My next step is checking out Apple Motion.

Yes, I’m going to try that next.
After giving up trying to get those “velocity handles” to work in Final Cut….etc, I managed to devise a workaround. I set my motion and then progressively sliced up the pics, slowing down the video in each slice – 90 %, 80 %, 70%….etc.
Once I devised a suitable pattern with it, it was actually less time consuming than it sounds.
