Hi, I’m trying to create a very simple effect in FCPX of something moving into frame, stopping for a few seconds, then moving out. I’ve managed to keyframe the motion fine. but for some reason when I play it back FCPX is adding a slight bounce to the animation. Any Ideas why this is happening?

    Thanks,

Because X defaults to ease in/out and Bézier curves with no real way of changing them. Except a workaround. If you were animating from a to b, you’d set those Keyframes as normal. Then, set a keyframe 1 frame after A, and 1 frame before b. Then delete the keyframe after a and the keyframe before b. That should create a linear straight move. If you have a more complicated animation, you’ll need to do the same for all keyframes.
