I have been making a short video which is made up 100% of JPEG still that are of quite high quality. I have used the pan/crop tool on most & then rendered that the file out as a 1920×1080 file progressive.

Even though I have the deinterlace filter turned on I still get some small shimmer. Worse than that I notice that my pans are stuttering a bit. Could this be because I have the wrong setting on the keyframe interpolation? I would not think that anything should be necessary in this field because the source is 100% progressive. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance

My guess is that you left the “quite high quality” stills at their original size.
The general rule of thumb with stills is, unless you’re doing deep zooms, to resize them to no more than twice your project size.

Try a very small amount of Gaussian Blur.
    Adjust Horizontal to 0.0
Adjust Vertical at 0.001 to 0.003

“Even though I have the deinterlace filter turned on…”

Your source material is progressive so why bother with this step?
