Keyframe interpolation curves not working. (at least in pan/crop) 8.0c
For some reason, Keyframe interpolation is not working properly in vegas 8.0c… I do remember it working in versions 6 and 7 though. Specifically the Fast, Slow, Smooth, Sharp curves on the pan/crop tool. When going from A to B, interpolation on A works. Interpolation on B doesn’t work.
Here’s my issue. For a movie I’m doing, I’m using the pan/crop tool to do some panning/zooming effects on image sequences. keyframes marked as “linear” work as expected, but all the other curve settings for keyframe interpolation (Fast, Slow, Smooth, Sharp) .. don’t work as expected.
Sort of hard to explain, so here’s an example.
Say I want to move the pan/crop frame from point A to point B over time.
With both keyframes set to linear, it moves at a constant velocity from A to B.
If I set both keyframes to “slow” it slowly accelerates from A (which is the proper behavior) but then just hits a dead stop at B, as though it was set to linear (not the proper behavior). Setting B to “slow” SHOULD have the motion decelerate and come to a stop slowly. Maybe someone with 9 can test this?
Sorry, this is a hard problem to explain. Fast, Slow, Smooth and Sharp keyframe interpolation just act like “linear” when they bring motion to a rest. This is actually the first bug/problem I’ve ever had with Vegas and it certainly seems to be a version 8 thing.
Sorry, there were no replies found.
