  Keyframe animation not smooth in PP5.5

  Hi everyone. I just did an H.264 export of some footage, involving a still image that I panned using position keyframing. On close inspection, the movement isn’t as smooth as I would expect. It moves smooth for 3 frames, then jumps a little on the 4th frame. I went back to my timeline and noticed that isn’t not the fault of the codec– the jump is actually in the timeline itself. I verified this by doing an export in Photo-JPEG– same problem.

  So what’s the deal? If I have only two position keyframes, why would Premiere not interpolate it smoothly? And for the record, everything is in 29.97 fps– not that it particularly matters when I’m just panning a still.

  Any thoughts?
