I am looking for a Media Asset Management system for our small team. We are all on MacOS, and use a combination of Premiere and Final Cut Pro X (we also use Resolve, but not yet for editing). I downloaded the trial of KeyFlow Pro to try it, but have not had any luck getting it working and was looking to see if anyone here had any suggestions (or recommends any other system).

Following its instructions, I downloaded the FFmpeg binary from the link on the FFmpeg Installation page and then dragged the executable to the encode page. Unfortunately, I still cannot generate MXF previews.

FFmpeg runs fine from the command line and this is its output:

ffmpeg version 3.3.1 Copyright (c) 2000-2017 the FFmpeg developers
    built with llvm-gcc 4.2.1 (LLVM build 2336.11.00)

Hyper fast Audio and Video encoder
usage: ffmpeg [options] [[infile options] -i infile]... {[outfile options] outfile}…

I sent mail to KeyFlow Pro’s support address, but never heard back (I may have passed the end of the trial period, so this may all be moot).

Thanks in advance for your help.

I believe I had this issue some time back. John Davidson suggested I delete a file which was rebuilt and fixed the issue. Unfortunately I can’t seem to remember the specifics.

Thanks Craig! I finally got a response from Magn (seems like my mail didn’t get through). The KeyFlow Pro app needs to be in the Applications folder for it to work correctly.

Moved it there and all is fine. 🙂
