I’ve keyed out my subjects but after I export them out of After Effects they have some sort of contrast flash. Just my subject’s black levels change a little bit brighter. I checked the source footage and everything is good. I play it in AE but it doesn’t happen. However, there is a flash in the video but nothing changes. Any ideas?

    Were you using multi-processor rendering?

I’ve had the same problem when “render multiple frames simultaneously” was checked “on” in AE preferences…

Do these flashes occur at the exact same frames each time you render? If so, it’s your media. If not, it’s still your media, likel;y. What format is the source media? I’m guessing it is HDV.

Yes, it is HDV and it does occur at the same time but I checked the source footage and there is no flash. Only when I bring it into AE does the flash occur. Is it the HDV codec and AE that causes this?
