Keyboard shortcuts for renaming subclips
I can’t seem to figure this out–I’ve been searching online and in the manual and poking around in the software but to no avail.
I’m doing a first-pass through a lot of interview material, and I’m making subclips of the responses. This will make it easier to go back and start structuring things out on the timeline.
So far, in the Edit tab, I set my In and Out point and press ALT-B, and it creates a subclip. Phenomenal! But I’d like a faster way to rename the subclip I just created. Taking my mouse all the way over there to click on the subclip, then rename it, and then go back to the source viewer is taking forever. In a perfect world I’d hit ALT-B, the subclip would be created and HIGHLIGHTED, I could type in the name, hit Enter, and be back in Source Viewer.
There’s GOT to be a way to navigate through this more efficiently. Who’s got the secret? Cough it up! ?
