Keyboard shortcut to event property mute / unmute

Hi Larry,
I use this often so I created a kbd mapping for it. I mapped the “,” (comma) to it.

assign it to edit.event.mute

and this will mute/unmute a selected event when “,” is pressed.

IThat’s great! I can’t believe that shortcut isn’t already included in Vegas’s vast collection of shortcuts,

So how does on go about “mapping” a keyboard and assigning a ” , ” to a multi- keystroke function?

not sure what you mean by multi-keystroke?

by multi-keystroke function, I was referring to the number of keystrokes I previously used to perform that function..

1. right click on event
2. click on properties
3. select / unselect mute box.

I figured it out, and mapped a shortcut.
